CD99 is useful in the differential diagnosis of Small round cell tumor especially Ewing Sarcoma/PNET. It is strongly expressed in Ewing sarcoma / Primitive neuroectodermal tumor, distinguishing it from other Small round blue cell tumors of childhood and adolescence.

SPECIMEN: Submit Tissue in 10% formal-saline OR formalin fixed paraffin embedded Tissue Block. Ship at room temperature. Provide a copy of the Histopathology report, Site of biopsy and Clinical history.
