The Postprandial glucose test or PPBS is a glucose test done on the blood that helps determine the type of sugar, also known as glucose after a certain meal. Carbohydrate foods are the main sources of glucose and it is a primary source of energy present in the body.

SPECIMEN: 2 mL (1 mL min.) plasma from 1 Grey Top (Sodium Fluoride) tube. Collect sample exactly 2 hours after starting meal. Ship refrigerated or frozen.
STABILITY: Room: 6 hrs; Refrigerated: 72 hrs; Frozen: 1 week
REPORT: Daily
INSTRUCTIONS: Sample 2 hours after meal.
USAGE: Glucose determinations are useful in the detection and management of Diabetes mellitus.
