SPECIMEN: Submit material in special aerobic transport medium provided. Specify specimen type on transport medium vial and test request form.

PRE-TEST INFORMATION: No special preparation required.

USAGE: Identification of the organism and antibiotic susceptibilities are performed that aid in selection of appropriate antibiotic for treatment.
