The absolute count is the percentage of eosinophils multiplied by the white blood cell count. The count may range between different laboratories, but a normal range is usually between 30 and 350.

USAGE: Absolute eosinophil count is increased in allergic or atopic disease, infectious disorders (including parasites), medications, immunologic reactions, skin disorders, pulmonary syndromes, rheumatologic diseases, myeloproliferative neoplasms and secondary to other malignancies.
