CD30 is used to diagnose Hodgkin lymphoma and also some Non Hodgkin Lymphomas like Anaplastic Large cell Lymphoma. CD30 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNF-R) superfamily.
SPECIMEN: Submit Tissue in 10% formal-saline OR formalin fixed paraffin embedded Tissue Block. Ship at room temperature. Provide a copy of the Histopathology report, Site of biopsy and Clinical history.

USAGE: CD30 is used to diagnose Hodgkin lymphoma and also some Non Hodgkin Lymphomas like Anaplastic Large cell Lymphoma. CD30 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNF-R) superfamily. Expression of CD30 can also be seen in Embryonal carcinomas, Malignant melanomas, Mesenchymal tumors and activated T & B lymphocytes and plasma cells. Reed-Sternberg cells of classical Hodgkin lymphoma as well as the neoplastic cells of Anaplastic large cell lymphoma express CD30.
